There is a disconnect between activity stream “favorite” button and the actual blog comments/section
rich!@etiviti – So does that mean it’s not possible? A user can’t “favorite” blog comments or blog posts?
A user can only “favorite” the activity record for that new_blog_post or new_blog_comment made within the activity stream part of buddypress – when a user views the main blog that activity information is not pulled in. (i have an experimental plugin which replaces all of the blog comments with activity stream)
Though it might be possible via a plugin to pull in and add that functionality to the blog portion (basically find the _ID() and comment_ID() and look it in the activity_records)
If anyone has a plugin for this, I’d love to know about it! Right now, Buddypress feels very disjointed from the blog itself (foodnetworkhumor.com) – and the ability to “favorite” comments from other members, and specific blog posts, would really help bring it all together.
@jillsays i know its been more than a year that you inquired about having the ability to favorites on comments posted… did you have any luck with this?

but thats still not how to favorite comments users leave… will try and if i come across something, will let u know.
@sidjags, no I never figured out how to favorite comments. And the buddypress support was so horrible, and the plug-in was so resource-heavy, that I actually deleted it. Good luck.
let me know how this goes, i would also like to allow users to favorite other user’s post or file/media uploads.
Sounds like something that could be added as an enhancement to future BuddyPress

Hi all,
I’m trying to add the Buddypress “FAVORITE” button to my blog’s comments, so users could “favorite” comments they enjoy. I can’t seem to figure out how to do this. Can anyone help me out or point me in the right direction?
