Adding Buddypress to existing website

Hi, I have a website and I want to add a social network to it for my users. I don’t want to turn my existing website into a social network, what I want is to have a page/section in my existing website with Buddypress.

    Is this possible?

    With thanks, Geraldine

As far as I know, apart from adding the options to see the activities and groups (if you activate them), it only creates the registration, activate, members and activity pages.
If on your website you put a link to the activity page, registered people will be able to comment and add friends to their profile, it would only be a section on your website, it does not have to be the main page.
