Adding target=”_blank” to links in field descriptions

Hi,
The vistors to my site need to accept the terms of service and a privacy policy. To allow them to do so, I added a radio button as a custom field. I wanted to add the following line in the field’s description:
Read the Terms of Service
While I am able to enter a link to the policy, the expression target=_blank” is stripped every time I press update.
What’s the error I am doing here?
