Hi All

I am currently using the Jooc theme for Buddypress, WordPress 3.0.4 and Buddypress 1.2.7. Its my first post on this site so sorry if I am in the wrong section.

The admin bar (the bar at the top with all the links to my account, dashboard and notifications) on the Jooc theme doesn’t seem to appear and it never appeared from the start but it does appear in the wp-admin section just not on any of the pages. I have tried changing the css and editing the remove actions in functions.php but havn’t got it work. Any help would be greatly appreciated in trying to get the admin bar to appear for this theme.

Maybe a silly idea but was thinking about putting some kind of add admin bar function into bp-custom.php, not sure how to do that, and will that override the remove admin bar functions in the theme?

Check the footer.php of your theme and make sure that there’s the “ just before “

I note you have asked the exact same question on WP support, it is considered bad form to post across different forums with the same copied question however I do also note that you didn’t post the WP one til ~ 2 hours ago.

looking at that theme on WP tells me it hasn’t been updated since June of last year, BP has gone through some major updates since then, personally I wouldn’t bother with a theme that hasn’t been updated to keep abreast of new versions.

This exact same problem has been asked before of this theme on this forum in fact mercime you responded on it.

I find it incredulous sometimes that people can call a simple reworking of a few colours and a few rulesets here and there a theme, given that the theme looks like BP why not just use the current bp and modify it ourself to suit at least that way you would know it worked

Thanks for the suggestions.

The footer thing didn’t work but I did just decide to switch back to the default theme and modify it, it wasn’t much different to the jooc theme. So thanks for that idea.

Sorry about the double post its just that I was in a bit of a rush and didn’t get any response in here.
