Admin bar pushing header down instead of ghosting over the top of it

Sorry if this was already discussed, I searched the forums and could not find answer.

The adminbar is pushing down the header and causing the header to be out of alignment with the rest of the layout.

I entered this code in the stylesheeet

/* BuddyBar Removed – fixing gap */

body { padding-top:0px!important; }

It works on chrome, on IE the adminbar is not visible.

I don’t want to remove the adminbar, I just want it aligned properly

Just posted this same error on wordpress but as i see they didnt give you solution for over a month… any ideas?

Is this with the default theme or with a custom child theme?

Providing a link to the site is always a good idea for stuff like this.

Take the background image out of your body tag. Works as expected after that is done.
