[Resolved] ALL activity by user

    Maybe I’m just too tired to find this, but here goes…

    I’d like to have all activity from a user visible somewhere on their profile (assuming they’ve marked activity public).

    Right now, only the Activity stream shows up. What I’d like to be able to see:

    Blog posts from user
    Recipe posts from user
    Images posted by user (gallery is an upcoming project)

    In short, when I click on a name and go to a profile, I want to see all the activity on the site for that person, not just the activity stream.

    Hi @sandyfischler i think this feature is already a part of buddypress just goto dashboard>>settings>>buddypress;>settings tab>>
    1)enable buddypress to wordpress profile syncing
    2)Allow activity stream commenting on blog and forum posts
    3)clear cache of your site and the next time someone will post a blog post it should become visible in activity stream

    And if that doesnt works try activating site tracking component from dashboard>>settings>>buddypress>>components tab and then check for logs from new Activity tab in your dashboard this will help you see all the activity of your site users from dashboard like who wrot new blog post etc
    Note:I think the blog posts written after following the steps given in 1st post above will only appear in activity of your site and old blog posts will not appear

    Excellent! That worked to get the blog posts showing on the profile activity.

    My next question: when a normal post is put into WP, there is a link to an author profile screen. Can I have that link point to the BP profile instead of the WP author profile?

    When I set up my custom post type for recipe I added the code
    [wpv-post-author format="link" meta="name"]

    And that gives me a link to the author profile but not the BP profile. How would I format that in both places WP basic and in my custom post view so that it points to the BP profile?

    Hi @sandyfischler thanks for the confirmation, there is a very good plugin to redirect author link to his/her profile i am using it on my site as well and it works good for me you can get it from here
    No need to change anything just install >>activate>> clear browser cache and check your site in a new incognito window out of your current admin session to see if redirect is working for you,i hope this helps

    That worked! Much thanks. It even redirected the link on my custom post type…yipee!
