[Resolved] Blog page exists, don't want Blog page.

I have BP 1.7.1 installed on the most up to date version of WP.

I am new to BP.

I have only a need for Activity and Member pages. There isn’t a need for the Blog page and it isn’t in the Menu of the site however if you go to domain.com/blog the page still shows. How do I get rid of this page? I deleted it from the Pages Admin area and it still shows. I’ve cleared my browser cache and it still shows. So a site tester who knows WP found the page because they know the default URL for a WP Blog and went to it, made a comment or two when logged in and comments came to to the Comments Admin area. The Blog page is not needed and so aren’t comments to it. How can I get rid of this page altogether?

This is a WP issue it’s a WP loop so you need to find where it’s being generated from, not really a BP issue

You have caching plugins running so check those out as possible causes?

Ok, wonderful, that was it. I have WP Super Cache installed and deleted that cache and then deleted the browser cache and the page still showed!

However, there is a third level of deletion… the ‘ol WP Trash bin, and after deleting that and reclearing all caches it is not gone.

it always is the bloody issue in so many cases, wish people wouldn’t install the damned things unless there’s a real need. 🙂

Ok, let me phrase this another way. What check box items in WP Settitngs > Discussion admin area relate with Buddypress functionality (sans Blog)? None? If some, which ones?

@benjino blog page has got nothing to do with the bbPress plugin’s settings (Settings > Forums – not discussions). Clear your cache because I see no /blog page in your site.
