[Resolved] BP 1.7 Template Core Issue

  • @webifiedgeek

    Participant

    I have installed BuddyPress 1.7 and on some pages I am receiving this error Warning: strstr() [function.strstr]: Empty delimiter in /home/content/18/9897018/html/s7c/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-core/bp-core-template.php on line 864

    It is giving this error to pages I have manually created. What is up with that? Please HELP!

    what do you mean by “pages manually created”? Is this a page template you created? Is the issue corrected if you change to BP Default theme?

    Like pages I have created through adding new pages. All the default pages from buddypress do not have the error. Just pages I have added like contact page, about, etc.

    I am receiving the same identical error on non-BuddyPress pages.

    I have pages I created through WordPress (Dashboard > Pages > Add New), such as Help, Contact, Home. All these pages display the error message at the top of the page.

    In my case I tracked this error to the “BuddyPress Global Unified search” plugin, which no longer works with the BuddyPress 1.7 trunk

    @kraigg thanks for posting back. Yes, there are plugins which will need to be upgraded for BP 1.7

    @webifiedgeek
    have you deactivated all plugins other than BuddyPress?

    Plugins which work on 1.6.x that don’t work on 1.7/trunk should be reported on https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org as a regression.

    Thanks Paul, I’ve created a new trac ticket for it

    The plugin that has caused the issues on mine is “BuddyPress Follow” by Andy Peatling, r-a-y Version 1.1.1. The error no longer shows up when deactivated.

    New update to “BuddyPress Follow” by Andy Peatling, r-a-y Version 1.2, fixes the issues for me.

    Thank you guys
