BP not working

    Hi,

When I activate BP, the process does not work, and I get a blank page when I try to access the wp-admin. However the site works fine. I have already:

    – Deactivated all plugins.
    – Activated the simplest theme that comes by default with WP.
    – Added memory to wp-config.

Are you sure BP 1.6.4 works fine? I am on a single WP install, 3.5.1

    Regards.

    Robs

This is wierd, because it was working a month ago under the same hosting provider, for the same site. Any other ideas?

@c930586 many reasons. Within a month, there could have been hundreds of new members and/or you added new plugins and/or changed to resource-heavy theme, etc. Did you contact webhost tech support? They could tell you what’s up with the blank pages and how to resolve them.

    Hi,

I contacted my webhost. They told me that by default, I am using 256MB, so that should not be the problem.

    – The site has over 46,000 registered users, which I imported 2 months ago, via ‘Import from CSV’ plugin.

The thing is, when I don’t activate BP, the site works very well. If I activate BP, the users can access its pages (groups, activity…) via the frontend. However, when I try to access wp-admin, I am unable to get in. It remains blank.

Any other ideas apart from the memory limits?

    Thanks.

I know I can disable the plugin via FTP, by changing the name of the folder, so I am not worried about that, but if I cannot access the admin, then that means there is a bug somewhere, and I would like to find out what it is, so I can work normally.

By the way, the error logs do not show any errors.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

BP doesn’t seem to work at all with multisite installations of WP 3.5.1. I’ve just spent an hour clearing up the mess. The installation wizard seems to assume it’s going into a single domain wordpress installation and can’t cope with anything else.

It’s not at all suitable for multisite/multidomain installations.

Nothing to do with memory, either.
