bp_get_member_profile_data() adds profile link when in href

    Adding some social icons to the member header with the bp_get_member_profile_data() code, but for some reason it outputs the link taken from the profile field and then adds the member profile url before it? If I simply echo the code it just outputs the field data so clearly there must be some functions conflicts that are adding the unwanted profile url, can anyone help?
