BuddyPress crashed my site; how to manually remove it?

    @winkyboy

    I installed BP out of curiosity and it crashed my site. I couldn’t even get to the list of plugins to remove it; it kept giving me some generic error. I manually deleted the buddypress folder via FTP and was able to get into the plugins listing. It said BP had an error and was therefore disabled, however later when deleting a user, I wound up getting the same generic error. Strangely, simply trying to delete the user a second time worked. But the fact that there was the same error AFTER I had deleted the BP files and supposedly deactivated the plugin means there’s probably something still lingering.

    I see in the database that there’s all these “wp-bp…” tables. I’m assuming it’s safe just to drop those tables?

    Is there anything else that I need to do to remove any leftovers from BuddyPress?

    Thank you ~
