BuddyPress doesn't work with Yahoo Hosting?

I installed a BuddyPress powered site with following information:

    Standard WordPress 2.9.2

    BuddyPress 1.2 RC3

    Installed on subdirectory /3rut

    Fresh install

    Using Yahoo web hosting

Each time we click the links which belong to BuddyPress will appear “The page you were looking for was not found”

And also if we log in using the right-sidebar widget it will not work, but if we log in using the top-buddybar will work well.

I am hopeful that you will test it by using following information:

    Site: http://3rut.com

    Username: buddypress

    Password: buddypress

    Help me please.

    Any comments will cordially welcomed.

Thank you very much in advance.

Wow! You could install BP in Yahoo! Hosting? I’ve seen many support questions at WordPress.org/forums where users are bogged down or get errors with that hosting, didn’t know that Yahoo! had mod_rewrite enabled

You can login on the sidebar at http://3rut.com/3rut/ where your BP is installed. Not sure if this is going to work with Yahoo! hosting, but test if this could be added to your wp-config.php

Allow BuddyPress to function on multiple blogs of a WPMU installation, not just on one root blog:

    define ( 'BP_ENABLE_MULTIBLOG', true );

    Thanks a lot mercime,

I have directed http://3rut.com to http://3rut.com/3rut/ and it works great.

Other problems still remain, if we click members, groups and everything else will appear “The page you were looking for was not found” again.

    Help me please,

Thank you very much in advance

You need pretty permalinks enabled (mod_rewrite) otherwise it’s not going to work.

You should do some research. Maybe I missed it but I don’t see any links for pre-sales support at http://smallbusiness.yahoo.com/webhosting/ esp. mod_rewrite? PHP 5+? GD library bundled with PHP? at least 32MB memory? etc.

There are many issues with WordPress alone on Yahoo! hosting, adding a poweful plugin like BuddyPress …
