Its awesome but lacks a proper purpose.

I couldnt decide to choose from traditional forums and BP? what do you say?

BuddyPress has a proper purpose; it lets you run your own social network. It’s not a forum. If you’re looking for a forum, then you don’t want BuddyPress.
