BuddyPress.Org Profile Issue – Not allowed to access my profile

Hello.

If you are reading this, then I do have enough privileges to post on this forum. When I click ‘Howdy, timothylegg’ and then select ‘Edit My Profile’ I am returned with a sparse page that says:

“Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.”

The URL for the page is:

https://buddypress.org/wp-admin/profile.php

Why am I not allowed to access my own profile or manage my data that is stored on this site?

Bear in mind that this has Datenschutzerklärung consequences in European Law if users aren’t allowed to view or edit their profiles. Could someone please address this

No response….I ran into the same error. The link just isn’t working right

Don’t click on the Howdy part, just hover, in the pull down menu go to the dark grey, profile, edit and it works (taking you to https://buddypress.org/members/timothylegg/profile/edit/group/1/ )

BuddyPress reactions are a bit slow on this one….

Hi,

The URL you have mentioned is admin URL, it will only work for admins and to access your profile just hover on your avatar and there you will see a menu ‘profile’ just click on this and it will lead you to your forum profile.
