BuddyPress theme with bbPress templates
-
Is there a Buddypress theme which has bbPress page templates built into it? I want to use bbPress forum together with BuddyPress, but the default theme has not bbPress page templates.

Just to clarify, the bbPress you’re referring to is the plugin, right? Because bp-default theme and BP themes in WP repo and premium do already add pages/style for internal bbPress forum bundled with BuddyPress.
Yes, I’m talking about the bbPress plugin.
Or is there an other way how to setup a forum like this into BuddyPress?
Like this I ment: http://testbp.org/discussion/
when you use bbPress with BuddyPress default theme it has the the same theme that is on testbp.org.
Yes, but it doesn’t show bbPress links. It seems that they have modified it.
Testbp runs unmodified versions of BuddyPress and bbPress development versions
Then I have no idea why my forum pages are not showing up :S
Somehow I got to show the forum main page, but all the forums and topics are now redirected to Group Forums Directory. I do not want to use groups forums. What could be the problem?
I’m going crazy here. Where can I get instructions how to create a forum page like this: http://testbp.org/discussion/ ? I have searched everywhere. I have asked from the admins in testbp, but no answer. It is not possible that there is no help how to set up this kind of forum.
Does anybody know who has set up this forum? How is this done? Are they using bbPress WordPress plugin or is it a standalone bbPress forum installation that is integrated into WP and BB?
Any help is appreciated! On the plus side, I am one of the admins on testbp. It’s probably because bbPress 2.0 tries to use “forums”, and BuddyPress also tries to use “forums”. BuddyPress must be winning.
Try going to wp-admin > Settings > Forums, and set the “Forums base” and “Topics base”. There’s also a page called “discussion”. I’ve not used bbPress 2.0, so I’m not really sure. @johnjamesjacoby will know!
@matuh, have you read these instructions?

One more thing with this theme. http://testbp.org/discussion/ has drop down menus. Is it using a plugin for that? I read from some forum that drop down is soon integrated into BuddyPress default theme, but it was 9 months ago. Isn’t it still integrated?
I found the answer. They are using the latest beta version. It has the drop down menus.
The beta 3 should be ok to run on a live site. Always back up though before installing beta BuddyPress. You will get native drop downs and many other fixes/enhancements
Yes, I’m using it now and it’s all good. Except BP Columns theme cannot be used any more to generate the left sidebar. I really need this. Does anybody have a solution how to make a left sidebar?
I’m updating bp columns for 1.5 comparability

Awesome @modemlooper! When can we expect the new version?
when I get a chance, getting plugins updated first and then fixing the themes.
@johnjamesjacoby I’ve installed BP Beta 3 with the bbpress 2.0 plugin – everything works fine (Thanks!)…
…only one thing is missing: where are the bbpress favorites in the BP profile page? Thanks for help.@modemlooper how’s it going? Getting to themes yet? Sorry for bothering, you have definitely a lot of work to do at this quick time. The left sidebar is the only thing that I haven’t figured out yet, everything else is now working as expected. Is there maybe any temporary solution? Some quick code that would to this?
@modemlooper I would like to know the answer to this as well – regarding the left sidebar issue…
Thx
I sent updated themes to WordPress repo and they should be accepted any day.
