Bug. Duplicate Buddypress Profile Menu
I’m using wordpress 3.9.2 and Buddypress 2.1, there seems to be a bug with a duplicate menu in the buddypress profile menu, when i click on some of the menu items like send invites, discussions, events, there is a duplicate menu on some of the buddypress profile menu pages, but not all of them, the sidebar also displays at the bottom of the page. As shown in the two screen shots.
@wayne-alex We would not be able to access screenshots in your local host. It could either be a theme issue or could be a plugin conflict. To determine which is causing the duplication, change to the Twenty Fourteen theme and deactivate all plugins except BuddyPress and see if issue is resolved.
I have changed to the Twenty Fourteen Theme and deactivated all plugins except buddypress, with the twenty fourteen theme everything works fine and there is no duplicate Buddypress profile menus with all plugins activated, I am using the bp-social child theme from wpmudev, even when all plugins are deactivated except buddypress the issue is still there with this customized child theme. Also when i switch to the parent theme bp-social there is also no duplicate menu with all plugins activated.
Really need some help with this one!
you are still putting local file addresses, since we are not using your computer the urls are not accessible.
As you can see in the first image there is a duplicate Buddypress profile menu, What could be causing this?
The second image is where you can see the right sidebar at the botttom of the page.
looks like your page template has an unclosed div tag.
In which php file would I need to add the closed div tag?
I am using the bp-social child theme from wpmudev, even when all plugins are deactivated except buddypress the issue is still there with this customized child theme. Also when i switch to the parent theme bp-social there is also no duplicate menu with all plugins activated.
The problem sounds like it is coming from your child theme. Remove your customizations to some of your templates and see if this fixes your problem.
no way of knowing from the outside if you didn’t make/modify it yourself or don’t know what to look for i’d say check with wpmudev.
Is there any chance you could take a look for me?
I would appreciate it.
Try removing the customizations, and deactivate the plugins. This should work.
Keep posting if you have issue.
I’ve removed the customization’s and deactivated all plugins except Buddypress, with no changes.
Any other ideas?
