Bug: Membership List in Groups does not show

    @brianbws

The Membership List in Groups does now show unless the Buddypress component ‘Activity Streams’ or ‘Notifications’ are active. If they are not active, it just displays “Requesting the group members. Please wait.”
    Membership list

    Tested on:
    WordPress 4.9.8
    Twenty Seventeen 1.7
    BuddyPress 3.1.0
    Template Pack BuddyPress Nouveau
    No other plugins active.
    No errors in console

Really need this fixed because I don’t want those components active.

I’m getting the same issue, but for me, it seems like there is a conflict with bbpress. when I disable it, it is working just fine. so far no solution for it 🙁

my console gives me this error message:

Update: After some further testing i could pin down the issue. Seems like the problem is the
GD bbPress Tools Plugin causing all of this on my site.
Will see what i can do about it…

UPDATE: seems like i fixed it for me. Here is what i did:

on GD bbpress toolbox settings -> <> BBCodes enable the option: restrict only on bbpress (?)

Cool. Your fix doesn’t work for me because it’s a default install on a non modified theme with no other plugins active besides BuddyPress.

I can confirm this problem. I am having the same issue. No bbpress installed. If I change the sorting options from Newest to anything else the members show up but not if loading the members list the ‘normal way’ without changing sorting options.

Any update to this bug being fixed? I’m having the same issue.

Unfortunately no change in BuddyPress 3.2.0. Bug is still present.

Thanks for the bug report, @brianbws. I’ve just created a ticket here – https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/7969

    Update – I’ve also added a potential fix here – https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/attachment/ticket/7969/7969.02.patch

For future reports, if there are bugs and you are able to list the steps in order to reproduce the problem on a fresh install, please create tickets over at https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org (use the same credentials you use on wordpress.org). (Do not make support threads there though!)

The reason is not all developers are checking the support forums.

    Thanks @r-a-y!
