Call-time pass-by-reference has been deprecated

    I’m not sure if this has already been posted on – but I just installed Buddy Press and after activating found the following error message at the top – Call-time pass-by-reference has been deprecated; If you would like to pass it by reference, modify the declaration of do_action(). If you would like to enable call-time pass-by-reference, you can set allow_call_time_pass_reference to true in your INI file in /home/content/05/8404005/html/community/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-xprofile/bp-xprofile-classes.php on line 751.

    I also found a fix on this page – http://wordpress.org/support/topic/deprecated-message-when-buddypress-is-installed?replies=5#post-2437774 but it didn’t work for me. Any advice please?

    That specific call-time-pass-by-reference issue has been resolved in trunk. If you want to remove the warnings in your install, open up buddypress/bp-xprofile/bp-xprofile-classes.php and on line 751 replace
