Can't see bbPress in activity streams

Hi,

I’m wondering if bbPress activity is meant to show up in the BuddyPress activity stream? Currently the activity stream shows everything that happens — registrations, updates, friend connections, etc, but doesn’t show any entries for bbPress forum posts or replies.

I’ve been through the settings for BuddyPress & bbPress, but can’t see anything that could be adjusted to add bbPress to the activity stream. The only semi-relevant thing I can see is the BuddyPress setting “Allow activity stream commenting on blog and forum posts”, but nothing forum-related appears in the activity stream regardless of this setting.

I’m using the latest versions of both BuddyPress (2.0.2) and bbPress (2.5.4), and WordPress for that matter (3.9.2).

Am I doing something wrong, or is bbPress not supposed to appear in the activity stream?

Any ideas? The most basic question I’m trying to answer is *should* bbPress posts and replies appear within the Activity Stream by default?

Simple answer: Yes, bbPress should be appearing in your activity feed. In mine, both the forum from the main domain and forums from Public Groups create an activity entry (You can enable Group Forums in Settings/Forums)

Sorry I can’t offer more assistance as to why this isn’t working for you. In my install, on the Activity Feed, there are separate filters in the dropdown for Topics and Replies to filter and locate bbpress content on the activity feed. It’s fully integrated out-of-the-box for me.

Thanks for your reply mrjarbenne. Posts have started appearing in my activity stream as normal now. I think this issue fixed itself after I ran the “repair forum data” tool from WP admin. I ran that to fix a completely separate issue (bad counts after deleting posts), but it seems to have fixed my issue that stopped forum posts appearing as activity.

There must be a bug in bbPress here, so might be worth the developers looking into if any of them see this. If there’s any more detail I could give to help to that end let me know.
