Change header?

I have created an image that is 1500 x 100 that I want to use for a header on all pages.

However, whenever I try to use this image I get a large white border around it and cannot seem to get the header resized no matter what I do. I know there are a lot of separate parts to the header, but is there an easy way to accomplish this?

I just want to resize the header so it is 100px tall and have my image align at the far left and go all the way to the right side but so far no luck.

@flpagan Can you clarify whether you’re referring to the theme’s header or a default group’s or member’s profile header/ cover image?
If you’re referring to the theme’s header, please contact theme author.
If you’re referring to the cover images for groups or members, try this https://wordpress.org/plugins/buddypress-cover-photo/ – haven’t used it myself. Good luck.
