Change the list member after filtering

Ok, first of all, i would like to know how to increase the limit number per page, after i click the filter member.
I did search the whole article about this but unfortunately couldnt find it. I do know how to increase per page list member in ‘Member Directory’. I change it from default ’20’ to ’21’.
But now, i want to increase after i filter my member. When i filter my member, it has only shows 5 members, and the rest is on pagination. Why only 5? i dont know.
I want to increase from 5 to 12.
