My BP registration page username field gives no warning when users register with a username containing spaces. The username spaces are converted to underscores. This is a problem as the standard WP registration email with UN/PW is not delivered after activation, so users who registered with an invalid username don’t know how to sign in.

Is this the normal function? I am using s2member so I’m not sure if this is part of a conflict or typical behavior.

I would like there to be a warning on the register page when a user tries to register an invalid username (similar to when they fail to complete a required field). If that is not standard or difficult to implement, is it possible to get the normal registration email sent containing UN/PW after activation?
