Custom theme breaking Multiple blog functionality

I have a custom theme for BuddyPress/WPMU. When I create a new blog, I get a 404 error on the URL.

I have the structure as http://blog.com/newblog and it will work if I select the default theme as the main theme, but when I switch to the custom theme, it breaks.

I have no clue where to look or how to trouble shoot as everything I’ve done doesn’t seem to fix the issue. Any idea what could be causing the problem?

If you purchased that custom BP theme, then contact theme author. If you created that custom theme, then double-check template tags as many have been deprecated from older BP versions to current 1.2 stable. Also, it would help others help you :https://buddypress.org/forums/topic/when-asking-for-support
