I use the newest version of buddypress with wordpress 3.5.

There’re some navigations shown only to me at profile page, (messages, settings..) So can i change activity and friends navigations like them ? I mean show them only to me.

    Thank you for reading.

Something’s getting lost in translation. You want to be able to edit the friends navigations or make those navigation links visible to you only hence not allowing them to send messages not change settings …?

Hello mercime. I appreciate to your reply and apologize for my confusing explanation…

I want to hide activity, friends tabs from other members.

I mean visible only to me. Same as Messages, Settings tabs.

I found about ‘show_for_displayed_user’ => false,’ sentence on every loader files, and i could hide friends and activity tab. Thank you.

But i use bbPress with Buddypress, so there is ‘Forums’ tab. I could not hide this Forums tab anyway… Is there any way to hide Forums tab ?

    Thank you for reading.

It is possible to ‘remove’ Forums tab by editing functionc.php.

But I just want to hide from other members.

I changed all tabs hidden as default setting and solved the problem. I still don’t know why only forums tab has error.. Thank you.

I’m looking into this too. I think the problem is that bbpress is adding that forum tab and not buddypress. Did you figure it out?

Otherwise this is a good reference.

@Norm … Thank you! Very helpful reference link and precisely what I was looking for. I actually added my code to bp-custom.php instead of the theme’s functions file.
