Database Error

    Hi

    WordPress database error: [Out of memory (Needed 11272160 bytes)]
    SELECT COUNT(DISTINCT m.group_id) FROM wp_bp_groups_members m, wp_bp_groups g WHERE m.group_id = g.id AND m.user_id = 1 AND m.is_confirmed = 1 AND m.is_banned = 0

    This only happens with Buddypress installed, once i remove it the errors disappear.

    Bit of a nightmare, any help appreciated!

    just to add, i’m using latest versions of both WP and BP

    Like the error message suggests, your server ran out of memory.

    Hi,
    i’ve spoken to my hosts who’ve increased the memory limit to 256m but nothng’s changed and they’ve shifted the blame to us saying we need to optimize the database. I’ve done that via a plugin and still we’re getting the errors so i’m now totally confused and stressed out. Can’t believe i’m doing this on NYE to be honest but it needs fixing asap.

    Could it be time to change hosts to someone better, are they full of cr @p or is there anything else i can do?

    They might be full of crap; who are you using for hosting? Can you share the error message you get after the memory has been switched to 256Mb please?

    Here’s one of many errors we get, this one is currently showing in the sidebar Groups widget..

    WordPress database error: [Out of memory (Needed 12582880 bytes)]
    SELECT COUNT(DISTINCT g.id) FROM wp_bp_groups g, wp_bp_groups_members gm1, wp_bp_groups_groupmeta gm2 WHERE g.id = gm1.group_id AND g.id = gm2.group_id AND gm2.meta_key = ‘last_activity’

    Please change to BP Default theme and deactivate all plugins except BuddyPress and check if issues are corrected.

    Done that already, the errors only occur when Buddypress is installed.
