Turns out my site wide activity was being displayed in a page-wide widget (via “widgets on pages” plugin) But I thought it was the activity page. The widget doesn’t show the delete links.. which is weird but at least I know what’s going on now.
Still, can’t remember if there’s supposed to be back-end listiings of the activity posts.. don’t see any.

Can someone be specific as to where the admin can moderate and delete individual activities? My brain hurts after a hour long search 
@ClubUgly change to bp-default theme. As Site/Super admin, on the front end you’ll already see the “Delete” button on the right of “Comment” and “Favorite” buttons right after each post in Activity Stream for current BP version.
In BP 1.6, we’re adding a screen to wp-admin to allow easy access for admins to manage the content.
