Directory pages (members, groups etc) pagination issues

    Hi,

    Running BP1.1.2 on WPMU 2.8.4 – http://artsphere.co.uk

I have a small problem in that the directory pages don’t seem to want to paginate unless the user is logged in.

i.e. right now I have about 80-90 members (http://artsphere.co.uk/members). When logged out I see the first ten, but when moving to the next page all I get is a hyphen displayed. Likewise if I click a letter. However, if I’m logged in I can run through all the pages and see all members, select a letter etc. Same for blog (and I would assume other) directory pages.

On a related issue, the bp events plugin doesn’t paginate at all, but I think this is down to the events plugin itself.

Anyone else come across this? Any thoughts as to what might be causing this?

I tried your site with firefox and did’nt see any problem. Pagination works correctly for members and blogs page.

In Events i found this: Events Listing

Viewing event 1 to 0 (of 0 events)

And you have over 10 events listed. There is a count issue somewhere in this plugin.

What browser are you using on what OS? I checked your site on Windows 7 (all browsers) and could not duplicate this issue. In Chrome and Safari your sidebar is missing though.

(I recommend maybe making your top links a little brighter. I almost missed them for a second.)

    Wow, @Chouf1, quick reply! Thanks.

You would seem to be right – just tried it on another machine (yep, should have done that before!) and all seems fine, apart from the events plugin.

I think I was expecting trouble, given the issue I already have with the events directory not displaying. Could this have been a caching issue? Oh well, I’ll keep an eye out in case it re-occurs.

@chouf1, all plugins have a pagination issue since they’ve mirrored the way BP has done it, which is fixed in the 1.1 branch and will be fixed in 1.1.3+

    @JJJ I’m in Firefox 3.0.15, Mac OS X 10.5.8

Is it Chrome & Safari in Windows where you’re not seeing the sidebar… at all?? Pretty sure it used to be there!

Thanks for the advice on the top links – I presume you’re talking about their light grey ‘off’ state?

@mlovelock, yeah both in Windows. I didn’t trouble-shoot it much farther than seeing they were missing so I’m not sure what CSS is off.

Yeah the light grey links at the top. Otherwise site looks good so far.
