“Display name publicly as” to XProfile Name

Hello,

BuddyPress defaults to showing “Display name publicly as” as First Name, Last Name. This shows up on users’ profile page, in activity, forums etc.

In the XProfile Settings, there is a “Name” field users can edit. However, changing this does nothing on the website. Everyone still shows up as the “Display name publicly as” in activity and forums etc.

Users are confused as to why they cannot change their display name… Is there anyway to link the two?
