Dynamic link codes?

    Hi,

I’ve been building my first site using Buddypress and like many here I’m obviously impressed. The one thing – being a non coder – I’m struggling with is the dynamic links. I realise I can add a menu via the native WP menu builder but I want to create a graphic UI and for the life of me I can’t figure out the dynamic links. I’ve been scouring the net and I’ve found the odd snippet here and there but is there a definitive list available? Or possibly even just a pointer as to where I can find the code in the plugin so I can use it?

My other question (Sorry, pushy first post) is the code for embedding the whats-new-form on different areas of the site around that anyone knows of?

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me out 🙂

but I want to create a graphic UI

You could add a class to each menu link (including BP links) in Appearance > Menus and add the graphics via stylesheet. Just click on the “Screen Options” tab on the upper right hand area of the Menus panel and check “CSS Classes” so you’ll see the class input area for each menu link added.

    Easy way via plugin http://buddydev.com/buddypress/buddypress-sitewide-activity-widget-updates/

Thank you for the reply! I doubt the WP menus will manage what I want to do which is a graphic UI for the site so that’s why I was after the code to make dynamic links work.

The widget link was cool, thanks. I need to try and add a widget area above my loop now but I think I can manage that.

Thanks again for taking the time to answer.
