    Hi,
I was using Buddypress and when the users register in the site using buddypress/register the activation mail or the welcome mail doesnt goes to the signup person. I have tried all the possibilites posted at this forum for it but nothing worked for me.

I tried for past two days for all the possibilities but nothing worked. 🙁

We’ve fixed this for BuddyPress 2.5.2, which will be out this week (probably Tuesday or Wednesday). See https://buddypress.org/support/topic/read-this-first-buddypress-2-5-master-list/#post-250544

@manigopal Are you using any plugins on your site that might affect or customise emails? Any SMTP plugins, etc?

at normal wp-admin / registration it works but only while trying to register via buddypress its not working ie no email for user registration and even activation also.

I’ll continue to give this thought. If WordPress emails are sent without ANY plugin or customisation, I am not sure why BuddyPress emails aren’t being sent — we put a lot of work into the v2.5.2 release to try to fix this exactly situation/problem.

I see this was about a week ago, but I’m having the same problem. I’ve tried many of the plugins mentioned in other threads, but haven’t had any luck with any of them. I’m on Media Temple’s Grid service (not their WP hosting) and I’ve checked the mail settings, spam folders, with no luck.

@djpaul Does BuddyPress use the same email-address for sending like WordPress? If not, that might be the problem: Some webhosters (like Hosteurope) restrict the usage of email addresses in scripts like WordPress to prevent spam.

For example I usually have to choose one email-address on my webhoster´s config platform. After that I can use it in WordPress. Any other email address won´t work for sending with WordPress, if I don´t use a plugin like https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-mail-smtp/.
