Filter – Activity Stream

    I looked around and could not find my answer, but basically what i would like to do and i can not find an answer to is set my Activity Stream default “No Filter” To the filter of “Show Updates” So when you first get to the activity stream it will “Show Updates” and then if you would like to filter it a different way you can pick a different filter. Is this possible? Has it been answered and i couldn’t find it?
