As you can see, @apeatling has done a fantastic job redesigning this website! If you find a problem or something broken, please post here and let us know.

    Thanks

There’s an errant “a” in the followers template right after the body tag.

    * Website URL and Job Title do not display on profile
    * It would be nice for a reply box to be located at the bottom of each forum thread page instead of at the end of the forum

Need a way for Support Group threads to be moved to the proper group. For instance, this thread should be moved to the Localization Support Group. https://buddypress.org/community/groups/creating-extending/forum/topic/creating-mo-file/#post-50310

However, there is no current, easy way to do this with the group-based support forum setup.

Can’t edit forum posts / threads. Edit screen appears to be missing the form.

Also for the support forum directory, need to link to the last posted item. Maybe the timestamp can be linked?

For the forum directory… it might be better to use a site-wide latest discussion loop instead of separating forum posts by group.

Need to minimize secondary activity items like joining groups from the sitewide activity stream.

= Sorry, there was no activity found. Please try a different filter.

@mercime – Works when you change the dropdown filter a few times.

Just discovered a usability issue on the sitewide activity stream. See my screenshot below:

My suggestion would be to switch the dropdown menu to the right and move the “Activity Filter” to where the dropdown menu currently is.

@r-a-y You can edit your own posts. At the moment, none of the moderators have moderator powers in any of the groups, so maybe you were looking at someone else’s post?

@DJPaul – editing my own posts work now, it wasn’t working about an hour ago. Andy’s been busy! ;)

    Other issues:
    – Hyperlinks in the “About Me” profile description need to be nofollow’d to prevent SEO spam.
    – Group avatars do not work

When you go to a users profile and hit the followers link a lone “a” shows in the upper left hand corner.

Site is COMPLETELY jacked up in Chrome. I thought something had really screwed up the previous version. Finally opened it in Firefox and it’s completely different.

Works fine for me in Chrome. Might be browser caching.

When a plugin is updated, the group page version number and readme.txt content is updated immediately — ace! However, “Last Updated” hasn’t updated.

I’m finding the shade of light blue chosen for a:link to be really, really eyestrainy on the #888 backgrounds especially, at least on my CRT here at home.

When in your Profile page looking at your follower list, if you reciprocate (follow someone back), the count does not update on the “Follow (n)” tab unless you refresh your browser. Not a serious bug.

Two points: When I clicked on an update via the “View” link by @boone -> https://buddypress.org/community/activity/p/267 I was redirected to -> https://buddypress.org/community/activity.

    2. I went to this forum to post this reply and had to go all the way to the last page just to find the reply field. It dawned on me that it’s like that in my own theme as well. I plan on adding “reply” links/buttons along the way to jump to that form as it’s certainly not intuitive to do so if you’d like to reply and not read the entire thread (I realize that may be a bad thing in and of itself to some)

Missing usernames beside avatars for members who are not spammers and/or not bozos … at least that’s what I think they’re not :-)

Missing the various bbCode options to format forum post content. For instance, when quoting a codeblock, the old ““” symbols do not work anymore. See this post as an example: https://buddypress.org/community/groups/how-to-and-troubleshooting/forum/topic/blog-comment-link-in-activity-stream-broken-has-id-twice/#post-50447

This is an issue with the new BP-Follow plugin. Since it does not yet have a group, I’m posting it here.

When notified that someone is now following you, it would be nice if you were taken to a page that showed just the new person or people following you. Currently, you are taken to your overall listing of followers which does include the new person/people. But as your list grows longer, you have no way of easily determining your new followers. The only way I can do this with ease is by checking my email and looking for any new BP.org sent emails.

Here’s another Support Forum issue. The old-style forums allowed for a status display for forum threads–I believe via a bbPress plugin. The red and green light indicator was a very useful tool, especially as a forum moderator. You could focus on those threads that still had a red light.

The Codex page ( https://codex.buddypress.org/ ) still has the old-style menus–“Forums”, “Developers”, etcetera. On a positive note, it’s the only place where there is a direct link to Trac! I miss the Trac link on the old Forum homepage.

Need a link to your forum threads (started and replied to) as well as an option to favorite a thread as before. Both of these were powerful tools for me as a moderator.

The Visit Random Member/Group links in the buddybar don’t return randoms, just the directorys.

    @stwc

Both of these were powerful tools for me as a moderator.

    And indispensable as a user!

Link to forum thread post item in Activity Stream should link to actual post. I’ve done this on my own site by adding an id to the a:link with post-(post#). Needs to be pagination-aware, too, of course.

(Confirming my blockquote was stripped in my reply, above)
