Friend requests

    I am testing the friend requests and so have created to bogus accounts and sent a request back to my own account, the requests show on my menu under (Friends) then (Pending requests) 2 are highlighted in blue, however when I click on the pending requests, it says “You have no pending friendship requests.” ?

    I’m sure this was working prior to the last buddy press update?

    I have tried several up to date themes and the problem is still occurring.

    can anyone help with this? I have tried deactivating some recent plugins but still no luck, I have two pending friendship requests showing in the top right menus, but when I click on them, it says there are no new requests, despite me sending two from two bogus accounts ive set up for testing??

    would love to see an answer to this as we have the same problem with phantom BuddyPress Notifications. People have numbers in the blue circle but when they click they get an error message and I’ve tried resetting the system cache but no luck.

    Have you already deleted these two bogus accounts ?

    Maybe try to use BP without other plugins. Only WP+BP and 2014 theme to get sure anything is working.
    If you’re on your first BP experience, you can also add some fake content with bp defaut data plugin, so it would be easier for you to see how things go on.

    If you configured correctly BuddyPress such a test install works within minutes.

    This has now been corrected I reinstalled buddypress and retested all okay!
