Delete the bb-config.php that was automatically created at the root of your WP install (where you find the wp-config.php file) when you installed Group Forums and that’s it.
Hello,
I am having the same issue, but when I uninstall the bb-config file from the directory, the plug-in just installs it again. Is there something else I need to do? I also tried deleting BP, then deleting the file from the directory, and re-installing BP and the group forum is still installed.
`delete_option( ‘bb-config-location’ );`
In other words, delete the ‘bb-config-location’ option, and you’re good to go.
I’m sorry, I’m not a coder and I don’t know exactly what this means. Is this a location in the directory? Or something I put into CSS? Thanks for your help.
I am having problem in installing the buddypress, hence, tried to uninstall it and try from the beginning.. I have the same problem in uninstalling the buddypress.
I have tried to delete everything totally, including buddypress and related plugins, pages (deleted from trash too), and the generated folders in the child theme’s folder, by FTP.
I dont see any bp-config.php file in my domain. (I checked entire folder)
However, when I tried to re-install the BuddyPress, I found that some previous settings, like I unselected the discussion, was still there, and the program just won’t create those related folders “again”. It asked me repair them..
Please someone help to solve this issue, either by deleting the buddypress completely, or by some other method?..
Thanks.
Hi, John,
Please advise if what you suggested: “delete_option( ‘bb-config-location’ );” is a code that we need to add into somewhere, like wp-config.php? or??
thanks.
Let me add some more in detailed, hope someone could help for people from 2013 and forth too. ^^
The 1st time to install the BuddyPress, after activating the plugin, it will show one button, called “installation wizard” (http://domain.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=bp-wizard), from where, we can start the installation process.
However, once if you failed and even you unistall everything, it would jump to this page: http://domain.com/wp-admin/plugins.php?activate=true&plugin_status=all&paged=1&s=, in which the programe would ask you to repair things.. like memebers, groups, which I deleted when I uninstalled the BuddyPress.
But for the very 1st time, when you install the buddypress, it won’t ask you to repair, because, it shouldn’t be there from the beginning.
I hope this could help somebody to see what the issue is her more clear.
Thank you. and .. wish, well, everyone. Happy New Year!
