Help Instituting Friend-Messaging in BP?

    Hi,
    If anyone can help me to find the settings area for allowing friend-messaging in BP, I’d be very grateful. Site is https://papercuttersrenewed.tinyflowers.org, and I’m trying to have Board members use BP to message each other. There doesn’t seem to be any access to messaging right now, not sure why. Probably my fault for setting something poorly or not at all.

    Messages and friendships, friends, etc. are just hanging up when I click on them. And there’s no spot where it just says “add friend”! Sorry–help!

    I tried changing the theme to Twenty Nineteen, and I think my theme (Bloggist) is somehow blocking some of the BuddyPress functionality. I don’t know whether there might be some coding workarounds for this?
