Hide Username on site

    Hello,

    in times of high security I do not understand why the USERNAME is promted all over the Website?
    Is there a way to hide the username in the URL and everywhere in the Site?
    I like to have a number or the public/nick-name instead.

    If I am totally wrong, I need an explaination.
