how to create a buddypress members panel for a post or page?

    Dear Forum,

In relation to the new bp 1.7, I would like to create a panel of user gravatars for each post or page that has members following it, and embed that panel into the post or the page.

How would I do this? (I am not a coder but not afraid to mess around with stuff either!)

    Many thanks!

  • How have you got members following posts or pages, that isn’t a normal default BP action. If you have a plugin providing extended functionality that allows this then you need to provide that information as without it it’s not possible to provide suggestions. Either way this sounds like a job for a developer I doubt a simple answer can be given to tell you how to achieve this.

    Hi Hugo,

For some reason I didn’t get notified you had replied. But thank you so much for reaching out.

To answer your question, I have no plugin. I was just guessing that this would be a common BP concept.

    So this is impossible then?

    regards,

There is the BuddyPress Followers plugin, but that follows a person/member and not a post. What exactly do you mean by following a post? Perhaps, you’d prefer a “Like” plugin where members can “like” a post or not.
