[Resolved] How to custom the templates

    Hi,

Let me explain briefly what I did. I set up a brand new WP. I started created my own theme for WP.

I added then Buddypress as a plugin.

Buddypress works just fine but looks not styled. Make sense.

I want to customize the files. I tried to start with the register page. I want to rearrange some div etc.

I have no idea where to start. The codex didn’t help.

I tried to get the register.php from the legacy folder and put it in my own theme folder but it didn’t help.

So I would like just a bit of help where to start 🙂 Thanks in advance

    Best,
    Alexis

    @alesas
If you copied register.php from legacy, then you’d have to paste it into yourthemefolder/buddypress/members/register.php Is that what you did?

edit – codex articles which can help you https://codex.buddypress.org/themes/theme-compatibility-1-7/

Hey, thanks for the speed answer!

It worked. I don’t know where, but I read the file was supposed to be in register/

I changed it for members and it worked fine, came back to update the post and saw you wrote the same ^^

    Thank you!

@alesas thanks for posting back with the good news 🙂

but I read the file was supposed to be in register/

That probably was from a very old tutorial or the old BP template pack tutorial. Marking this as resolved 🙂
