How to remove ghost users?

I created and then deleted a few test users. They are not listed in the admin panel users list (/wp-admin/users.php). However, they are listed in the front-facing members list (/members/). I’ve tried running the repair tool as suggested here: https://buddypress.org/support/topic/ghostusers/ but they remain.

How can I get rid of these ‘ghost users’?

First thing I’d do is check the WordPress users db table to see if they are listed there.

Thanks. It turned out they were (but not listed in the backoffice user list), and I was able to delete those lines from the database directly using MyPHPAdmin.
