i am new to buddypress so i need an helping hand

    hi there i am new to buddypress i been using wordpress its self for over half an year now after moving from drupal but i need an helping hand with buddypress.

    i want to make an website that lets users post into the categories i have set up in wordpress. but lets the site mods and admins check post before they go live on the site. i also need a way for users to upload images to categories i have set and display them in a nice to view gallery so they can view only the images they want is this somthing i can do with buddypress and if so what plugins would be an good started.

    sorry for the newbe question i just thought it would help me get started with buddypress faster

    Hi, I’m a newbie too, looking to do the same thing as well. Hopefully it will be simple :)

    If you want users to post, you have to assign them WP role = Contributor.

    In order for others to approve the publication of the post, then you have to assign them at least WP role = Editor.

    WP and BP roles are different. BP roles = Super/Site Admin, Group Admin, Group Mods, and rest are Members (with default WP role = Suscriber)

    hi mercime is there any plugins that help with this task i also need users to be able to add photos as well ? to some catagories
