I created a child Theme but i cant edit the child theme files from my WP -Admin except only style .c

Hi, can someone please help me out, I just created a child Theme but i cant edit the child theme files from my WP -Admin except only style .css, i have created New functions.php, header.php….etc. which can only be edited from my FTP account. please what am i missing.

Yes, this is a know issue https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/3096.
It’s a WordPress bug and reported by DJPaul https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/16744

oh, thanks for your quick reply, but is it advisable to keep doing the editing from the FTP?
