@bifrost you need to make your WP theme compatible with BuddyPress by installing/activating the BP Template Pack plugin. Then go to Appearance > BP Compatibility process.
Yes,
I’m aware of that, sorry… I really wasn’t very descriptive with my exact problems. After Installing buddypress and the template pack plugin, I followed the tutorial found here and completed everything. It all seemed to be in order, until I tried to access a user profile, or anywhere on the other than the “activity” “groups” or other similar pages. Anything that had to do with the ‘user’ side of things was returning a 404 not found error.
I checked the .htaccess file, mod_rewrite is enabled along with pretty permalinks… it still doesn’t quite wanna work.
Sorry about the vague nature of my last post, I don’t know what I was thinking.
@bifrost not quite sure why that’s happening. Site URI?

Please keep in mind I’ve deactivated both Buddypress and the Template pack, if you’d like me to enable them please let me know.
Anyone have any ideas? I’m a bit stuck…
@bifrost do activate BP and Template Pack plugins. Know that volunteers here live in different time zones and if they/I don’t see what’s going on, it’s going to be guessing game.
Wow….
If this isn’t like taking your car to the mechanic for a rattle… and then it doesn’t rattle.
Everything’s working and in order now, and I’m not sure how that one happened! Thank you mercime and others for all your help, I’m not sure what I did differently, and I’ll let you know if the problem pops up again!
@bifrost glad you resolved it, just that.
