Integration Woes: User Post Excerpts, Like Button, Etc

    A site I’m working on wants to use BuddyPress to feature the activity and work of its users. Is BuddyPress capable of doing this?

    The users in question already have profiles, posts and activity on the site, currently independent from BuddyPress. How do I get this activity to show up in users’ BuddyPress profiles? How do users use the BuddyPress Like plugin to ’like’ the work other users do? Finally, in following users & work that are of interest, how can a user’s followers & others their following be displayed in the sidebar, perhaps using a widget?

    Is there really no support for this issue? I’ve looked everywhere. The lack of interaction with the developers and posted support for issues such as this is very disappointing.

    Is the site WP or a another kind which you want to integrate with WP/BP?

    If site is WP, sure it can. Know that the activity will only be recorded starting from the time you activate BuddyPress. I think there’s a plugin that can get users’ posts from existing multisite to be listed, just can’t recall which one and if it’s been updated.

    Members click on Like button. Or did you mean something else? You would have to be more specific.

    Thank you, mercime, I apologize for any hysterics. Running out of time on the project in question.

    It’s WP with some heavy customization to which BP is being added. (‘Spliced’ or ‘Grafted’, actually).

    I found the Import plugin but it seems to only work on recent posts. I tried to modify it per the community instructions and broke the site.

    I hope you backed up DB before activating the plugin. It was for WPMU 2.9.1.1, BuddyPress 1.2.1. http://teleogistic.net/code/buddypress/bp-import-blog-activity/
