when a hacker is able to access the entire server, encrypted or not your data is cracked… the password of yuor users is completely useless if the guy downloaded the whole database… he will have access to any data.
the password is not a key to the content, it is a key to the authentication hit to each user… a hacker does not need to authenticate, he goes to the data and use it bare.
btw, do you think your site content worth that much security that all your data have to be encrypted?… then you may need something else than a blog.
@nickmy
Nexia is right, but if you are worried about the revelation of password, then let me assure you, the passwords are hashed. So they will not be revealed. But still, the hacker will have access to all data.
If we wanted to learn about Buddypress security risks or concerns that site owners would have, where should we look?
What are some other security concerns or considerations should admins consider? Would love to hear the community’s feedback. Thank you.
