Hi all,

I’ve searched but not seen a good discussion of this. I want to move from group forums, which is currently installed, to sitewide forums. I know there isn’t a migrations script. Given that, I also am fine with losing all of the existing forums topics.

Given all of this, what is process for uninstalling group forums and installing only sitewide forums?

1. Backup database. 2. Uninstall Group Forums via dashboard menu BuddyPress > Forums
3. Delete bb-config.php file from server — found in root of your WP installation i.e., where you find your wp-config.php file.

Note that come BP 1.6, Group Forums will be migrated over to bbPress Sitewide Forums.
