I’m loving the plugin very much. Really great job, guys!

There are two small changes that I think would improve the user registration a lot though:

1. Make the ‘Name’ field not a required field. It’s confusing for people to fill in two names, especially if they don’t mean to give out their real name. If someone doesn’t fill in the ‘Name’ field, just let BuddyPress take what they filled in as Username.

2. Mention the Username in the activation e-mail (and/or preferable an e-mail that confirms the activation). I’ve had several users who tried putting a space in their Username, which was accepted, but not knowing that the space would be turned into a dash. Thus they weren’t able to login with what they thought was their chosen Username.

I’m not a programmer, but I don’t think these changes would take a huge amount of time to make, compared to other requested features. I hope you’ll consider my request
