modify output code of widget

    Hi guys!
    I would like to slightly modify the members widget output code, I know I can edit this in the plugin files, but whenever an update occurs it’l probably be overwritten right?
    is there some way to create a kind of child widget for this?

    is this even a good approach at all or should I manually recreate the widget?
