Modifying the Buddypress Registration Page

  • Nanaimomen

    Hi All

I would like to modify the Buddypress Registration Page to a certain look.

Ideally, I would like to have it set up as a single column with certain fields in a certain order, rather than having two columns as it is setup. So I would like to have it setup as:

    1. Name
    2. City
    3. Province/State
    4. Country
    5. Email Address
    6. Username
    7. Password
    8. Repeat Password

Right now I am only able to modify the right column of fields as under Dashboard – Users – Profile Fields.

Can I modify without mucking around with PHP Code or is there another registration plugin I can use that will be compatible with Buddypress?

When you’re creating your profile fields you can drag each field up or down which will help control the order of them.

The email address, username, password and repeat password fields are part of register.php. If you want to change the order of how these are displayed then you will need to open that file and reorder them manually.

In theory, the two column set-up could be achieved via CSS (again the markup used can be found in register.php), so you wouldn’t need to know how to write PHP.
