Move Buddypress from subfolder to root

I have Buddypress installed on http://www.domain.com/buddypress

I’d like to have buddypress on http://www.buddypress.com (so to the root)

Would anyone know how to go about this?

What do you currently have at the root of your domain?

It would be pretty much the same as moving WordPress from subfolder to domain root or elsewhere.
Always backup database and server files to your computer hard drive before attempting the change, just in case.
