My site does not send out confirmation emails.

When a user signs up;

They are put into my Database under: wp_signups

But there is no confirmation email sent out so they never get moved to: wp_users

I’ve tried to send to 5 different email accounts. 2 gmail, 1 hotmail, 2 priority domains.

I’ve also waited 24hours in case of a delay.

I’m afraid I messed it up when I did the auto upgrades of WP and BP maybe?

Anybody else have this problem?

Under General Setting / Options

I can not change admin email address from: you@yourdomain.com

every time I hit ‘update’ it just snaps back to you@yourdomain.com

and I don’t receive a confirmation email.

dunno if this is the source of the problem or an extension of it.

I have the same problem. no confirmation email is sending from the site…

OK, so like everyone else through forum after forum I also had the problem of new users not getting a confirmation email. My problem was Bluehost. WordPress apparently sends those emails from an email address called “wordpress@yourdomain.com”. Bluehost has a problem with this as might other hosts. The solution is a plug-in https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/mail-from/ install it and allow it to make your email “noreply@yourdomain.com”. It worked and was easy.
